These are our overwhelming traveling plans for the summer. 25 days, 9 cities, and 4 countries.
At first we were going to do the backpacking hostel thing; something about grasping on to the last years as real "youths." Luckily, my dad told me about this website... airbnb.com. Guys.. it's pretty much amazing. I don't know about you guys but I'm not 18 anymore, and the whole sleeping on your friend's couch or bunking up with a bunch of college students just doesn't sound as appealing to me.. but at the same time I'm still pretty cheap (not by choice, surprisingly special education teachers don't make as much as, um, any CEO).
So basically airbnb is a website that connects people around the world that either need a place to stay, or have a place they can sublet to each other. This could be anything from a room in their apartment to an entire flat/apartment. And the prices are comparable to a hostel. So goodbye dirty college students and bunks in a musty hostel in Barcelona... and hello to a one bedroom apartment for just as much!
* I booked most of my rooms before posting this because I feel like this is the best kept secret and almost didn't want to share it. Enjoy!
